You all know why I’m writing this article. I don’t even want to mention you-know-what as this article should serve as a catalogue of pure ocean-y escapism to help you get through these days stuck inside away from the salty air, sandy footprints, and soothing sounds of our beautiful oceans. We hope these virtual tours will give you some of the warm fuzzy feelings that you’ve been missing out on.

  • National Women’s History Museum – Online exhibit tours including women from NASA, women in STEM and women in the Olympics

  • 3deep - In-Depth Design, imaging and interactive mapping  including 3D shipwreck modelling, aerial photography, and visualisation.

  •  Coral Reef Virtual Tour - “Coral reefs are one of Mother Nature's most advanced and sophisticated ecosystems on the planet. Situated underwater they are a complex city of life forms where many types of fish and life co-exist together.   • National Museum of Natural History – They have set up virtual tours of many of their exhibitions, past and present! I’m sure the Ocean Hall and Sea Monsters Unearthed exhibits will be of particular interest to you.

  • Georgia Aquarium – The largest aquarium in the US has webcams set up so you can visit their 6.3 million gallon Ocean Voyager gallery, beluga whale, jellyfish, African penguins and many more!

  • International Year of the Reef - Google Earth created an interactive map to celebrate International Year of the Reef in 2018.

  • Clearwater Marine Aquarium - This group works to rehabilitate injured animals to be released back into the wild, or give them a safe home to spend their days. They have webcams on dolphins Winter and Nicholas, rescued sea otters, and the turtle rehabilitation centre.

  • Explore Live Cams -  Various live web cams including Manatees, Channel Islands Kelp Forest, Cayman reef cam and many more.
